Restaurants with sea and whale views

Price range: Scalea’s indication based on average prices, from 1 (most affordable) to 5 (most expensive). Prices may change; check the menu.

Scalea’s own recommendations, with no commercial partnership. Opening hours and prices change; check with the restaurant before you go.

Start with your day’s location

Eating near your accommodation, the beach you are visiting or your return point avoids crossing the island just for lunch.

The historic centre, called Vila, is not the same area as Perequê. Ask for the exact address and allow for the journey rather than relying on the district name alone.

A public food reference in Perequê

The municipality describes Mercado do Peixe as a place connected with local seafood, including food kiosks and preparation of purchased fish. Check which operators are open and how service works when you visit.

This is not a ranking or an announced Scalea partnership. Prices, menus, table availability and opening times are not fixed in this guide because they need checking for your visit.

Lunch on remote beaches

Bonete has community-based services, including food. In remote destinations, arrange meals in advance where possible and confirm payment options and service on the day.

When lunch is part of a tour day, ask whether it is included or paid separately. Tell the provider about dietary needs and your group size beforehand.

A sea-view restaurant is not a whale guarantee

A terrace facing the sea can enhance a meal, but it does not prove frequent whale sightings. Ask which area has an unobstructed view and whether access requires a reservation or a purchase.

Read whale watching from land for planning advice. We do not promise sightings from a restaurant without a verified local reference.

Questions worth asking

Confirm kitchen closing time, accessibility, parking, children’s options and dietary requirements. Allow a buffer when booking dinner after a boat trip.

The recommendations in this guide are Scalea’s own picks, not a “best restaurants” ranking. More tips will be added over time.

Editorial planning information, not a promise of a table, price, commercial partnership or whale sighting.
